Finn McCool's Giant's Causeway Hostel

Bed bugs. Ignore all glowing reviews, they are lying or simply delusional. I’m normally very happy with hostels, but for the sake of your sanity, go to the inn up the road instead. Even with evidence, the manager was nowhere in sight and we were refused a refund by the staff. Apparently, bed bugs are regular guests at Finn McCools, but the least they could do is refund you and not just offer you another room with the same bed bugs. Despite steaming and washing everything once I got back home, they travelled with me, landing me with a £750 fumigation expense, thanks to this lovely establishment. Save yourself the trouble and the money.

Yes, location is great as one can walk to Giants Causeway. But you'll also pick up some bedbugs along the way.

My girlfriend and I decided to stay at Finn McCools despite worrying reviews. To our dismay, the most recent reviews were rather accurate. Facilities are out of date and cleanliness is absent (this includes an unpleasant “bedbug” visitor discovered in morning removing our sheets. You make the choice, but we wouldn’t stay again. Avoid

Hôtel à côté de la chaussée des Géants très facile d'accès à pied. Accueil très sympathique. Literie non houssée. Je suis couverte de piqûres de punaises de lit. Un avis très mitigé.

Caution: bed bugs. Obviously can't confirm and bites may have been from other places I stayed but makes sense with lack of cleanliness here. 5 mins from Giant's causeway and fully stocked kitchen are the only things going for this place. Bathroom was a mess and smelled (at least had soap which is more than other hostels), basic rooms, staff is fine, parking, paid laundry available, kid friendly (fine for me but not for some). Pain from bites not worth the location unfortunately.
