One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Great vibe and facilities. Though I did find a dead bed bug in my bed which wasn’t the greatest.

Ik vond bedbugs in m’n bed hier, toen ik het aankaarten bij het personeel reageerde ze wel lief, maar ook vrij onwetend. Ze wouden me een privé kamer aan bieden, maar helaas ondanks dat ik dat ook niet prettig vond moest ik alsnog de 1e nacht betalen. Verder volgens mij geen verkeerd hostel

Vibe Analysis
Turtle Point is right by Tipsea Turtle Gili Air, so the headline here is simple: beach access and snorkelling are part of the daily rhythm. The hostel can set up snorkelling trips, and the area out front is close enough for turtle swims when conditions are right. Sunrise is also right there if you can do early-morning mode. Inside, this is a highly social Gili Air base with a relaxed-not-hardcore-party pulse. Daily activities, game nights, trivia, family dinners, yoga, a pool, a bar, ping pong, board games, and a WhatsApp group make it easy to plug in fast. Volunteers are a big part of the atmosphere, usually helping solo travelers get folded into the group without making it feel too forced. Dorms are often clean and comfortable, with strong AC, private-feeling beds or capsule-style setups, curtains in some rooms, and no-bunk layouts in some dorms. Breakfast is a steady waffle, omelette, fruit, coffee-or-tea situation, and there are water refill stations. The mood is beachy, social, and easy to extend for longer than planned. The tradeoff is that the facilities can be inconsistent. Shared bathrooms are the main weak spot and can be dirty, moldy, cold, low-pressure, or fitted with older hardware. Some rooms can be loud near the bar, some private rooms are basic or dark, and families or kids around the pool may shift the usual backpacker dynamic.
