the outdoor area is nice for chillout, but I was in shock when I saw the rooms. geckos are shitting in beds, the showers are a hygienical nightmare & there are bed bugs. I was packing all my stuff after 2 days & left because I couldn‘t handle it anymore. No keys for lockers, you need to bring your own lock. Not a social hostel & nothing to do in this area. The staff was friendly tho. also no breakfast or water etc. included, so for that price you can definitely find a better stay…

There were bed bugs in our bed and we had the move. Hostel staff were not very helpful and we felt like a big inconvenience for raising the issue

  3. Confirmed Hostelworld

Pool was not clean, ended up getting hundreds of small bugs camped out in my backpack from locker storage, bed bugs seem to be a prevalent issue there as posted on the window which would deter me from booking again. Environment ‘was good but I would not stay another night.

Vibe Analysis

The pool is the main event at Blind Dog Inn: big, clean when it is at its best, and surrounded by garden seating made for slow Sanur days. This is more of a calm stopover than a chaos machine, with a relaxed, semi-social mood and plenty of lounge space for doing absolutely not much. Beds are often wide and comfortable, with large lockers available, though a padlock may be needed. Rooms are simple, usually with AC in the evening, and the traditional, open layout gives the place a rustic Bali feel. There are friendly dogs on site; the names and lineup may have changed. This works especially well before or after a boat from Sanur, or for a cheap, quiet reset near the port. The beach, restaurants, and bars are walkable, but the area can feel a bit sleepy and not especially central. Staff can be warm and helpful, and food or breakfast options may be available, but service can feel inconsistent.
