Vibe Analysis
Hostel 555 is a practical base with a strong location near the bus terminal, half a block from a major avenue with many bus lines, and about seven blocks from another avenue and the train station. Staff are a major upside: reception can be warm, helpful, and flexible, including small touches like making tea early or offering breakfast after the usual time. Rooms can be comfortable and secure, with lockers in the dorms, several plugs, bedside lamps, air conditioning, and in at least one room a balcony. Bring your own padlock for the locker. The hostel also has plenty of bathrooms, clean common areas, solid Wi-Fi, and a well-equipped kitchen with various utensils and appliances. This is not a huge social hangout. Common areas and at least one four-person room can feel small, and one room needed maintenance around the shower fittings, humidity-damaged flooring, and a broken shower glass panel. Shared dorm luck can vary.
