Che Lagarto Foz do Iguacu works best as a central, practical base for waterfall logistics, not as a big social scene. The strongest thing here is the location: it sits in central Foz, close to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, laundries, the bus station/terminal, and routes toward the falls, Paraguay, and Argentina. For a short stop where the plan is mostly "sleep somewhere cheap-ish and move around easily," the map math is the main win. The useful bits are simple: some rooms are spacious, the shower is often a bright spot, breakfast can be decent or good, and reception can be pleasant and helpful with local directions. The building still has a few hostel leftovers, like game-room/pool-table traces and a rooftop/pool setup that is not consistently usable.
