Okay. Let's just get down to it... yes, there is no AC and yes, there is no hot water. However, I didn't mind because I came here to scuba dive. So for me it worked out. I actually enjoyed the lack of hot water because it was refreshing after baking out in the heat and humidity. The room was hot but I was so exhausted from diving I passed out. The breakfast is great and the staff is friendly. The beds are clean with no signs of bed bugs (trust me... I ALWAYS check). There was some big @$$ ants running around but we didn't bother each other.

Vibe Analysis
Beach chairs, bodyboards, and even a skateboard may be available to borrow, which gives this little beach house a more playful edge than its basic rooms suggest. The beach is just across the street, with restaurants, shops, and the main road close enough for easy walking. The strongest part of the place is the outdoor setup: an upstairs wooden terrace, hammocks, balcony seating, and breakfast with a sea view. It suits travelers who want to spend their time outside, reading in the shade, playing cards at night, or using the room mostly as a sleep-and-shower base. Breakfast is usually a bright spot, with tasty coffee and selectable options, though portions can feel limited unless extra items are paid for. Staff can be warm and helpful, with Caesar standing out in the day-to-day hospitality. A common kitchen, fridge access, filtered water, parking, and occasional room fridges or sinks add practical value, but facilities vary by room.
Signals to check
- Rooms are simple, old, and uneven; some are small, dark, hot, or short on airflow.
- Air conditioning is not in every room, and fan-only rooms can get very hot.
- Hot water may not be available, with showers usually cold or room-temperature.
- The wooden building carries sound: upstairs footsteps, street noise, balcony noise, and late beach activity can make sleep rough.
- Privacy can be weak in rooms facing common areas or the street, especially with thin curtains or windows near walkways.
- Cleanliness and maintenance are inconsistent, including older bathrooms, creaky floors, odors, insects, and worn mattresses in some rooms.
- Breakfast can be limited, and extra portions may cost more.
- The immediate area can feel rough at night, and the beach itself may be dirty at times.
