Alcazaba is a quiet, family-run place where Maria, Osvaldo, and the rest of the team are the main event: warm, helpful, flexible, and very hands-on with tours, local tips, breakfast, and small bits of care when plans go sideways. The rooftop and upper terraces have ocean views, with hammocks and a calm place to sit. During whale season, the balcony can even turn into a lookout. The hostel also works well for budget travel: there is a shared kitchen, breakfast is available, hot showers show up as a plus, and laundry may be available.
