In general the hostel is great, good location, very friendly and supportive stuff, kitchen with everything needed like forks, spoons etc, microwave. Small minus – only 2 shower rooms, can be queues. Big minus – when I was there, on my bed were bed bugs and I got bite :(((

Very good location. Spacious room. Quite nice atmosphere. In general it was clean. Well equipped kitchen. Silence during the night. I was bitten by something during the night. I am not sure if it was bedbugs (if yes, there are not many of them cause usually they bite in a specific pattern) or spider.

Vibe Analysis
Nomado Hostel is a small, old-school place in Varna with a cozy house feel, a sociable but usually calm atmosphere, and a central location near the cathedral, pedestrian streets, shops, buses, and a walkable route to the beach. The practical setup is strong for budget travel: an equipped kitchen, free coffee or simple breakfast basics at times, towels, lockers, laundry options, bike rental, and space for bicycles or a motorbike. There is a yard or patio for sitting outside, and the scale is compact enough that it can feel easy to talk with other travellers. Rooms are generally simple and clean, with comfortable beds in a lot of cases, though comfort varies by room. The hostel suits travellers who want a friendly, affordable base more than a full-on party hostel; terrace social time may happen, but the place also has quiet-hours expectations.
Signals to check
- Bathroom capacity can feel tight, with limited toilets and showers shared across multiple rooms.
- Some downstairs rooms may be hot in summer or damp, and not every room has air conditioning.
- Cleanliness is inconsistent: most areas may be tidy, but there are serious complaints about bathrooms, kitchen areas, dust, unchanged sheets, and possible insect bites.
- Light sleepers should choose carefully, since noise, early check-outs, reception-adjacent rooms, skylights, and thin soundproofing can affect sleep.
- Solo female travellers may want to weigh room choice and security comfort carefully, especially in mixed dorms.
