Camping y Hostel Cochrane
Vibe Analysis
An orchard garden is the main draw here: tents sit on grass among apple, pear, and cherry trees, with hammocks, swings, tables, and a sheltered refugio for hiding from Cochrane rain. It feels more like a family backyard than a polished hostel, which is part of the charm if simple, practical places are your thing. The location is very central, with a supermarket across the street and shops, cafes, the plaza, and the bus station close by. Camping, refugio beds, dorm beds, private rooms, and cabaña-style rooms may be available depending on the season, with prices usually framed as good value for Cochrane. The owners, especially Patricia or Patty, seem to be a big part of the stay: warm, helpful, and generous with travel advice. Facilities are basic but useful, with shared kitchens, bathrooms, hot or warm showers, WiFi that can work well, and laundry service available.
