Garden Hostel Koh Rong works best as a low-key, budget base near Nest Beach and Nestival, with the beach usually a short walk away and restaurants, shops, motorbike rentals, tuk tuks, markets, and laundry options close by. It is quieter at night than the party zone, so it can suit travelers who want easy access without sleeping inside the noise. The garden is a real part of the stay, with a relaxed backyard feel and at least one large room with a patio looking over it. Rooms can be clean, new-feeling, and comfortable, with effective air conditioning and fans in the dorm setup. The social side is mixed. The layout can make it easy to chat, and Finn plus the team can be friendly, energetic, and helpful, but this is not a full-on social hostel with a strong common-room scene. This is a tiny-sample read, so treat the extremes seriously: it can be great value when the room, staff, and location line up, but the bathrooms and booking handling have drawn sharp complaints.
