TJ's Hotel is a simple, budget-leaning base in Eceabat, with a handy central location near the ferry, buses, taxis, restaurants, and the waterfront. It works especially well for Gallipoli plans, with TJ tied closely to battlefield touring and local historical context. TJ's Gallipoli tours are the standout. They can be personal, detailed, and emotionally careful, with transport around the sites and stops at local restaurants; Troy tours also seem to be available and informative. The hotel itself is more practical than polished. Rooms can be large, clean, and comfortable, with air conditioning, fridges, hot water, daily towel changes, and sometimes harbor views. Breakfast can be a real plus, including traditional Turkish breakfast and warm morning hospitality. The tradeoff is age and inconsistency. Bathrooms, carpets, balconies, furniture, locks, fixtures, and general upkeep may feel tired, and cleanliness can vary room to room.
