It's a solid hostel, you're almost guaranteed to talk to people and have a good time
2nd best in Mui Ne

The pool, games and free-beer sessions make meeting people easy; dorms lack air conditioning, and bed bug complaints remain a serious risk.

Vibe Analysis

Ping-pong, pool tables, beer pong, karaoke, painting, and free beer or happy hour make iHome Backpacker Resort feel built around the common area first. The pool, bar, restaurant, hammocks, sunbeds, and sea-facing hangout space give it a proper backpacker playground feel, especially if Mui Ne itself feels quiet. Sand dune tours and onward buses can be arranged through the hostel, and there are restaurants and cafes nearby. This is a party hostel with a young, busy, sometimes chaotic crowd. It can be easy to meet people, especially around the pool and games, but the same setup means music, lights, and late-night noise can carry straight into the sleeping areas. The ocean is close, though the beach setup can feel more like a concrete or made-up beach edge than a classic sandy swim spot. The sleeping setup is the tradeoff. Dorm areas can feel open-air and connected, with dividers rather than fully sealed rooms, mosquito nets instead of privacy curtains, no air conditioning, and a fan at each bed. Rooms can get very hot, bugs and mosquitoes can be a real issue, and bathrooms are a recurring weak spot for cleanliness, smell, water pressure, and distance from beds. Choose this for pool time, games, cheap-ish food and drinks, and a loud social scene. Skip it if you need secure, quiet, clean, cool dorms, strong privacy, or polished service.
