Hotel O Melintang Hotel
Vibe Analysis
Hotel O Melintang Hotel is a very budget, practical sleep-and-shower stop with a useful position for moving around nearby Perak spots, Sungai Besar, Teluk Intan, shops, and convenience stores. It fits best for a simple overnight where price matters more than polish. The strongest upside is the front desk. Staff are often friendly and helpful, with Ms. Linda and Sriramamishan standing out for local info, taxi help, and generally warm service. Basic room setups can include air-con, towels, TV, a desk and chair, clothes hanging space, hot water, and 24-hour counter coverage. Some rooms are clean, spacious, cheap, and functional, with fast Wi-Fi, clear TV channels, cool air-con, and clean towels or sheets. The hotel also has a midnight front-door lock for customer safety, which gives the place a simple guarded-after-hours setup. This is not a polished hotel. The building and furniture can feel old, toilets may be run down, and room quality seems uneven. Parking, signage at night, stairs, smoke smell, mosquitoes, cleanliness slips, and payment transparency are the main things to watch before booking.
Signals to check
- No lift, and the stairs to rooms can be steep.
- Parking and the signboard can be confusing, especially at night.
- Cash-only payment may apply at check-in.
- Some rooms may have mosquitoes, cigarette smell, dust, dirty sheets, noisy beds, cockroaches, or older bathroom fittings.
- There has been at least one serious issue around an extra cleaning and security fee, and one booking was not honored on arrival.
