Monte Carlo Palace Rooms

Terrible experience — avoid this place! I stayed at this hotel from July 13 to July 17, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. When we arrived, we were shocked to find that our room was located in the basement. The smell of chlorine was so strong that we could barely breathe — we tried to ventilate the room, but it didn’t help, and we nearly got sick from the fumes. Even worse, something kept biting us during our stay. We still don’t know what it was — maybe bugs or bedbugs — but we left completely covered in bites. It was disgusting and frightening. When I asked the man at reception (who was extremely rude and possibly drunk) if I could pay extra to be moved to a better room on a higher floor, he became aggressive and told me I could leave if I didn’t like it. He clearly didn’t care about customer service at all. This place was dirty, unsafe, and completely unprofessional. I do not recommend it to anyone. It was an awful 4-night stay that ruined part of our trip.

I got infected by a bed bug in this hotel and asked to leave then I got an allergic reaction to it.
