Bed bug reports

We came to Latvia Riga for 3 days, as decided to go with this hostel. We came to our rooms and we were offered towels and keys. There was a common room that iveted tea coffee and a cozy place to sit. The stay was not bad, gave really cozy and Eastern European vibes. But what brought the whole review down is the bed bugs, I’ve got bitten in 2 places, and I will have to deal with cleaning every single clothing I have at home. This is not acceptable, this proves the hostels lack of care towards the rooms. Disgusting

Bed bugs infested. I also got bitten. This is the first thing I want to inform other travelers about. Highly do not recommend it, unless you don't want to sleep in the dirt and with annoying little insects and then go back home with the fear of also infesting your apartment. If you want more reviews about this issue, just check Google reviews. Grumpy and rude staff, dirty rooms and moquettes, 'don't do' signs anywhere that make you feel like an impostor when they're the first ones not cleaning.

Stay away from this hostel. It has bed bugs! Wish I would have seen the google reviews before booking it! Terrible experience.

Unfortunately this hostel needs some work before anyone should stay there- at least in my opinion as I’ve stayed in over 200 hostels globally. When I arrived I saw how nasty it was, on top of that the staff were extremely grumpy and unpleasant. Not clean. Saw many stained pieces of foam used as mattress’s outside (possibly spraying for bed bugs but not %100) I was there for 5 mins and left immediately- forfeited the $44 as it’s just not worth it. Also I arrived in Riga at 9am and they made me sit on the street until 2pm- no area for me to relax before checking in/out, nor would they hold my bag so I could at least adventure.

Come here at your own risk. Stay away. Extremely dirty, unsafe, worn out and dangerous people. Everything is worn out not like in pictures. No one speaks English. It is filled with homeless and Ukrainian refugees. It doesn't result in a nice stay. The kitchen is horrendous, always full, food get stolen in the fridge. The hostel gets barely cleaned, with dust and dirt everywhere. The living room has furniture that is totally broken. I cleaned myself the table surface in the living room and bedroom. My dorm had homeless people and people drinking alcohol. The beds had bed bugs and broken. This hostel needs to be closed down now!!!

Definitely seriously bed bug infested, I got bitten either there. Other guests and staff also reported bites, including more on a single arm than I've ever seen before. Someone else reported two weeks ago too. Management accused me of blackmail when I asked for a refund, instead of thanking me for giving detailed and helpful report. Doesn't seem like management does enough, they said they'd do all they can, but that doesn't include shutting down and nuking the place with insecticides which is probably necessary. Crazy aggressive Russian guest in my dorm room.
