The City Lodge works best as a simple, family-run base in Islamabad, especially for embassy, diplomatic enclave, MOFA, and Aabpara-side errands. The area is quiet and residential, with quick access to Srinagar Highway, Aabpara Bazaar, Jinnah Avenue services, restaurants, and currency exchange. Service is the main strength. Mr. Sunny Abbasi and the team are a recurring part of the place’s appeal, with help around reservations, tickets, taxis, food orders, pickup and drop-off, and early breakfast. The feel is more guesthouse than polished hotel: basic, personal, and better suited to practical travel than scene-chasing. Food can be a real plus here. Breakfast, tea, fresh juice, paratha, room-service meals, and chicken pulao all show up as specific bright spots, with a homemade feel rather than a hotel-buffet mood.
