Bed bug reports

Confirmed Hostelworld
Overall it was okay. Initially I was annoyed with having to make the bed but a girl I met in Bruges who stayed at another hostel found BED BUGS there!!! Ssoooo I understand the idea of making your own bed and being able to check that the sheets are fresh etc. the check in and common area and bar, amazing. The rooms are pretty basic… i stayed one night so it wasn’t too bad.

Vibe Analysis
Snuffel Hostel is central Bruges with an actual bar pulse. The good version is simple: walkable old town, big lockers, kitchen access, cheap breakfast, board games, a lively downstairs bar/courtyard, and enough social friction to meet people if you are in that lane. It can be fun and good value when you want Bruges without hotel prices. The same bar/courtyard is the reason this is a bad pick for light sleepers. Noise from parties, concerts, karaoke, drunk courtyard talk, doors, and dormmates appears again and again, often past midnight. Rooms are basic, beds and pillows are not a luxury story, and the self-service bed setup plus shared-bathroom cleaning can feel stingy for the price. Come for location and noise-tolerant social energy; bring earplugs and low expectations for polish.
Signals to check
- Noise from the bar, courtyard, parties, and dorms can make sleep difficult.
- Bathrooms, rooms, and bedding can miss the cleanliness mark.
- Beds are self-service and the basics can feel thin.
