I came her two years ago and liked my experience, so as a loyal customer I decided to come back again. However this year the experience was completely different. - First of all I booked for 4 nights and with free cancellation, but one month before my plans changed. I wrote a very polite mail asking if two of the four nights could be cancelled. They said the cancellation period had passed (even though i paid substantially more for the free cancellation option, but apperently their deadline is a lot earlier than in other hostals) and they wouldnt refund me. I didn't find this very kind, as 85 euros is a lot of money for two nights. - arriving at the hostel the staff at the reception wasn't very friendly. I had four bags and a water bottle, and the girl who showed me the room did not even offer to carry my water bottle for me.Again, just not kind. - the first day I arrived at 10.10 for the breakfast, thinking it was until 10.30 like most places. However it turned out to be until 10.00. One girl of the staff opened the box of mini croissants and let the two other girls of the staff grab one and when I asked if I also could have one she said ''NO, breakfast is over''. Again, incredibly unkind and rude. Especially given the fact I paid 7 euros a night for the breakfst and it's a very minimal breakfast to begin with. - the room I was in smelled like mold a lot and you had to open the windows to be comfortable. - the aircondition was leaking all night long, which made it hard to sleep. - When i finally left, I discovered three typical bedbugs bites on my elbow. This means I will have to freeze all my clothes and gave me an enourmous amount of stress and work. All in all, I ended up paying 43 euro's a night, so almost 200 euros for two nights for a very uncomfortable stay, had only once breakfast, very unfriendly staff and bedbug bites as a souvenir.

Lockers are small, won’t fit any check bags. My bed had bed bugs and I was bitten all over, staff were responsive
