Avis très mitigé après avoir passé 4 nuits là bas. Les dortoirs dehors, dans les conteneurs, sentent la moisissure à plein nez, avec la clim en marche c'est encore pire. Et les murs et les lits sont extrêmement sales. J'ai demandé a changé de chambre si possible pour passer dans le bâtiment principal. Ça a été accepté sans soucis, ce qui était très agréable, cependant je suis tombé sur des puces de lits mortes dans les draps de mon nouveau lit.. d'après un avis, le dortoir n°4 (dans lequel j'étais) était bien infesté de punaises de lit il y a quelques mois de ça. C'est dommage d'en retrouver encore des traces et de faire douter encore plus de l'état de propreté du lieu... Nous avons aussi loué des scooters avec l'auberge pour 6$ la journée. Le premier scooter avait des freins défectueux. Le deuxième avait un problème de serrure au moment du verrouillage qui le rendait quasiment impossible à déverrouiller après coup. Et il n'y avait également quasiment pas de choix de casques. On est donc partit les 2 jours avec des casques beaucoup trop petits pour nous.

The private room was big but not that clean, could be better. It's further away from the centre so you gotta walk a bit or take a grab. There were bed bugs in the dorms when I was there (october-november 2025) people were complaining, that's never good. Hope they solved but beware.

Positive: This place has a great rooftop bar with amazing food on taco tuesday, good vibes, live music and fun events, it's in a quiet area.. Negative: Coffee is awful, water is not free, private room had mold and moldy pillows & was not very clean, dorms 2 and 4 had bed bugs.

Vibe Analysis
Karma Traders Kampot is built around a rooftop bar and restaurant that does a lot of the social heavy lifting: happy hour, quiz nights, darts, live music, taco nights, and regular events. It has the kind of setup where the bar, pool, hammocks, sunbeds, and garden areas make it easy to stay put for the evening. The food is a real strength, especially tacos, with the rooftop adding sunset views and a relaxed place to hang out. The vibe is usually social and chilled rather than polished, with a mix of backpacker energy, locals, expats, and long chats by the pool or upstairs. It sits a little outside central Kampot, so scooters, bikes, Grab, or tuk tuks matter here. Bike and motorbike rental may be available on site, and tuk tuks are usually easy to get, but the road into town can feel awkward or unsafe after dark. Rooms are uneven. The stronger side is spacious beds, privacy in pod-style dorms, big pillows, AC in some rooms, and private rooms that can be roomy. The weaker side is maintenance: container dorms, bathrooms, pool furniture, bugs, mold, heat, noisy fans, and cleanliness can be hit-or-miss.
