Vibe Analysis
St Christopher's Inn Edinburgh - Old Town is basically a location weapon. It sits by Waverley/Old Town, works for airport-bus/train arrivals, and can be a decent short-stay bunk if you only need a bed, lockers, breakfast nearby, and occasional pub-crawl/activity energy. The better side includes clean or comfortable beds, and staff get enough positive notes to keep this from being a total write-off. The comfort ceiling is low. Dorms can be cramped, sometimes in the building across the street, with triple bunks/low headroom, small lockers, limited common space, no proper kitchen, and bathrooms that are too few for the traffic. Noise can come from dormmates, doors, trains, and the downstairs bar. It is a city-center crash pad, not a place to settle in and make hostel magic.
Signals to check

- Dorms can be cramped, low, and poorly ventilated.
- Noise can come from the bar, trains, doors, and dormmates.
- One March 2026 stay was moved after a bedbug issue.
