I have just read the other reviews, one by Nick Sitarz and can confirm mattresses were outside, I have owned an hotel and know why a mattresses are left outside, my first thought was 'bed bugs'. As for the staff, yes, they were rude but im not sure they understand such things, they woke me up! Didn't sleep well at all. Quite a few rooms, twins, were on the ground floor in a narrow corridor where the reception and patio area are. The 'terrace' was supposed to be closed and quiet after 10pm, but it was not. People, I am quite sure the staff, were sat eating, talking and laughing until very late. Doors were banging, noisy footsteps all night. I managed to fall asleep eventually, maybe 2am, and was awoken at 3am again by the staff talking loudly in the corridor. They have warnings about noise, then make it! It seemed like they were talking all night. I was in Marbella 3 nights, thankfully I only stayed here one of them and managed to get a much better hotel for the same price after one night. If you want to sleep its the wrong place. Considering the cost of the room too, for a sleepless night, terrible value. It is in a good location, on a nice street, but it is old, is in much need of renovations and noise reverberates, one door closes and the whole hotel hears it. Ive stayed in quieter youth hostels

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! I wish I could give a lower rating but 1 star is the lowest I can do, as soon as we walked into our rooms we spotted a mix of bed bugs, spiders and flies. We then politely went to talk to the gentleman at the front desk and showed him the pictures I took and he told us we would be getting our money back and he came to check and tried to say that a little bug with visible legs wasn’t a bug but would call the supervisor to discuss the refund he told us we would get, not only did she take almost an hour when we were told 30 min, she was very rude and wouldn’t even look us in the eyes when speaking to us, I then showed her a picture of the bugs and she tried telling us that they weren’t bugs and that spiders aren’t bugs and that they don’t have bed bugs when 4 of us clearly saw them with our own eyes and that we no longer could get a refund and refused to give us our credit card info and passport photo copies back and threatened to call the police on us when we did absolutely nothing wrong. Keep in mind this was at 12:30AM and we had no other places to stay as it was last minute and everything is booked up in the area. These people seemed very confident in screwing us over almost like they’ve done this before. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY REVIEWS OVER 1 STAR on this place it is a complete lie it is a disgusting and filthy place with horrible service I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. Please do not make the same mistake as us and try to cheap out here because you will regret it I promise. We flew all the way from Canada only to get screwed over by these people who wouldn’t even give us the time of day to work with us. We were willing to get a refund and walk away without issues but these people are complete scum bags and basically robbed us and threatened to call the police when we wanted our photocopied information back. Do yourselves a favour and look further into places and never book here. Since they refused to work with us and we’re very rude the least I can do is inform other people with a bad review.

DON'T STAY HERE. Where do I start? Grumpy staff (Seemed like they didn't want to be there and I was an inconvenience) The room was stale and the bed smelled of urine, There were severals groups of men staying in other rooms who smoked a lot and just stared at me, and....my room has BED-BUGS/CHINCHES, The first one I thought was just a fly but when I squeezed it, blood sprayed out, I took a photo of the next few and researched and these are defiinitley human blook drinking parasites. They are known scientifically as Cimex lectularius. I have put up one photo but have more. When I told the managers, they shrugged and said it was normal because of the hot summer. They may claim I did not stay but I was there at 5pm on 26th June checking in on a booking that was prepaid. Don't believe the response and go somewhere else. I wish I could give no stars. The area is lovely by the way hence 3 stars

Vibe Analysis

Pension Aduar is a very central, very basic base in Marbella’s old town, close to restaurants, bars, bus stops, Plaza de los Naranjos, and a short walk from the beach. The best part is the location, with an Andalusian-style patio and terraces giving the building some local character. The setup is more practical than social: simple rooms, shared bathrooms for some bookings, and limited common facilities. There is a fridge, microwave, kettle, and basic utensils, but not a real cooking kitchen, and access to terrace or common areas may be restricted at night or in the morning. This is best for a short, low-frills stop when old-town access matters more than comfort. Some rooms can be tiny, dark, humid, noisy, or poorly ventilated, and the value can feel rough when Marbella prices are high.
