The core thing here is connection: staff and volunteers make a visible effort, there are events most nights, and the setup gives travelers a lot of places to drift into conversation without trying too hard. The hostel has a garden bar, outdoor hangout space, games, a bunker-style basement/movie/game area, a kitchen, breakfast, and the kind of common-space sprawl that makes solo travel easier. It is close enough to the center for an easy walk, and at its best it has clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, cats or kittens wandering around, pub crawls, trivia, karaoke, and a full-on stay-longer-than-planned energy.
