Riga Old Town Hostel & Backpackers Pub
Beer pong, comic-and-space decor and a bar counter made from a truck set the Old Town scene; steep stairs and late noise favor beers over sleep.

Vibe Analysis
Riga Old Town Hostel & Backpackers Pub is basically a central Old Town bar with beds upstairs, not a quiet backpacker base. The strongest identity is the pub: young crowd, loud music, beer pong energy, comic, superhero, and space-movie decor, plus a bar counter made from a truck. It can work if the plan is beers first and sleep second. The location is the main practical win, right in central Riga with nearby food, bars, shopping, and airport-bus access. The bar side can be fun, with decent beer prices, happy-hour deals, and a lively street around it. The hostel side is rougher. Rooms sit up steep, narrow stairs, bathrooms and showers may be on another floor, and there may be no self-service kitchen, common room, luggage hold, laundry, or AC. Beds can be uncomfortable, noise can run late, and cleanliness is not a sure thing.
Signals to check
- Very loud music and street noise can make sleep difficult, sometimes until the early morning.
- This is closer to a pub with rooms than a full hostel setup.
- Steep stairs, tricky doors, and facilities on different floors may be annoying at night.
- Beds and bedding can be a weak point, with serious cleanliness concerns appearing more than once.
- Service can be uneven, especially around bar disputes or house rules.
