Hostel Superlativo Trinidad

BEWARE! Bedbugs and terrible management response Absolutely horrific experience. My girlfriend stayed here for a night after spending the previous two weeks at her sister's place with zero issues. The very same evening she checked out of this hostel, she broke out in severe, painful, and itchy bites all over her face, back, and arms. We immediately went to the University Hospital emergency room, where the doctor issued an official medical report explicitly diagnosing the lesions as bedbug bites. When we contacted the hostel management with direct photographic evidence and the official medical report, they completely denied any liability, hid behind corporate protocols, and claimed they needed to wait for their own "independent inspection" to buy time. They refused to refund the stay or offer any compensation for the medical costs and the chemical cleaning of all luggage. The matter has been forwarded to the local Public Health and Hygiene Authority for an official inspection. Avoid this place at all costs if you care about your health and hygiene!
