Bed bug reports

Confirmed Google Maps
On my first night I found a bed bug in my bed. The situation was handled really well, I was given a different room and didn’t have to pay for that night but I got bitten several times. All in all, the rooms were okay-clean, not great but not horrible either.

End of our KL stay so we were only here 3 nights thank god. The rooms were dirty, they had to change our room as there was cockroaches and other insects not great, we all had a lot of bites from mosquitoes and bed bugs, the hallways were too hot not properly ventilated, bathrooms not in the best of condition we didn’t want to shower, beds were not comfortable, the lifts are appalling, the building itself looks outdated, it’s very busy inside the building constant traffic on the lifts. All in all I would not recommend spend a bit extra and stay in a better place in heart of KLCC

I was supposed to stay here 4 nights. Me and some other backpacker found bedbugs from one of the beds in the room after few nights in so I left early. They promised to give me a refund from the nights I didn’t use but I never got the money. 🙃 I don’t recommend this place and heard that the penthouse 34 hostel guests saw some too 🤢 (these 2 hostels are in the same building) Only plus side here was that they started to clean the room first thing in the morning when they heard about the bugs.

There was a bedbug in my bed and old blood. In general not a very clean property. Even though the swimming pool was nice it was not that clean.

Vibe Analysis
La Vista @ Regalia Residence is a high-rise stay built around a strong city view and a pool that is a major draw. The location is handy for Sunway Putra and nearby transit, and the building setup gives it a large, apartment-style feel rather than a simple dorm setup. The room layout can be split across floors, and access can feel fiddly, with lifts, stairs, corridors, and parking routes all adding a bit of friction. Some units feel spacious and practical, but the upkeep is uneven: worn bedding, weak air-conditioning, stained surfaces, and old fixtures show up in a number of rooms. This is a place that leans on the view and the pool more than on polish. If you want a central base and can live with rough edges, it can do the job. If you want a smooth, well-kept room experience, this one may miss the mark.
Signals to check
- Room condition can be uneven, with stains, bugs, worn bedding, broken fixtures, and damaged floors.
- Check-in and building access can be confusing, and lifts can take a while.
- Deposit handling can be slow or awkward.
- Some rooms have weak air-conditioning, and window or traffic noise can carry in.
- The pool can be crowded, and basic room upkeep may be spotty.
