Bed bug reports

Sorry to say but I got bites of bedbugs ☹️ which is kinda expected in a hostel.

Everything about the hostel was nice, apart from bad bed bug bites. That pretty much negated everything about the experience.

Vibe Analysis
The terrace is the headline at Hostel Brikette: a calm outdoor spot with big Positano and sea views, useful for breakfast, a drink, or just letting the Amalfi Coast do its ridiculous visual math. Inside, the place leans clean, tidy, and friendly, with helpful staff, clear arrival guidance, and a location that works especially well by bus. Dorms and private rooms can feel comfortable and well kept, with details like bed curtains in some dorms, towel help, luggage storage, and a breakfast option that can include strong little wins like omelettes or cappuccino. The social side seems real but not forced. It can be easy to meet other solo travelers, and lighter activities like trivia may happen, while there is still room to keep to yourself. The vibe is more scenic Positano base than wild party bunker: pretty views, practical transport, helpful humans, and enough communal energy to make the hill feel less absurd.
Signals to check
- The hostel sits high in Positano, so expect stairs, uphill walking, or bus logistics, especially with luggage.
- There is no shared kitchen, and breakfast may cost extra depending on how the booking is made.
- Noise can be an issue from doors, the street, common areas, or room air conditioning.
- Check age limits, visitor rules, deposits, cancellation terms, and refund terms directly before booking.
- Some basics may vary by room, including outlets near beds, hooks, hairdryer access, hot water, lockers, and heating or air conditioning control.
