Bed bugs, which staff alerted us to, and then proceeded to deep clean the premises. I decided to stay on for the second night of my booking, following the deep clean, and woke up this morning with a number of bites. I think perhaps the issue requires more than a surface level clean. The shower curtains smelt overwhelmingly of urine.

I spent a week in this hostel and I really enjoyed it. I will start by saying that after my experiences in other hostels my expectations are simple - I give 5 stars as long as there are no bedbugs. And fortunately there are none here. In addition, the location is the best possible. It's clean. The beds are comfortable, there are sockets nearby. You can leave your luggage before check-in and after - in the sister hostel, which is very close. The staff are very nice. The hostel is cozy and there are interesting ideas for spending time - restaurant and place recommendations and events. I recommend it and I hope to come back there someday.

- dicker Schlüsselbund statt Schlüsselkarte/Pin - keine 24/7 Rezeption - Küche sehr dreckig, abschreckend.. - Aufentshalts"räume" sehr klein, nicht sehr einladend - Badezimmer sehr klein, eng, alt, abschreckend, Zumutung - Hostel lockt mit 16qm großem Zimmer, gebucht aber nicht bekommen. Hatte mir insgesamt n ganz anderes Bild von dem Hostel gemacht. Kann die guten Bewertungen nicht ganz nachvollziehen aus persönlicher Erfahrung. - Zimmer sehr klein, eng, stickig - Matratze total durchgelegen - keine Ablage/Vorhänge am Bett !! Hauptpunkt meiner schlechten Bewertung: - Bettwäsche vor Check-In glaube nicht gewechselt worden, Bett/Kissen voller schwarzer Haare !! - Bettwanzen? Hab ständig was kribbeln gespürt Eine der schlechtesten Hostelerfahrungen in 3 Wochen Schottland Erkundung. Habe in Edinburgh + Schottland für gleiches Geld schon viel besseres bekommen.
