Both beds we booked had bed bugs so we left immediately! There isn’t much privacy at this hostel also as the stairs lead straight into the “dorm” which is just bunk beds on the first floor

The hostel and the host was really nice and generous! It had a good location and also a really nice rooftop. Unfortunatley we discovered right before check out that my bed was full of bedbugs! The ones I saw when I looked at the corner of the bed was (full grown) so I do not understand how the staff/host could have missed that. We've had to spend a whole day washing and tumble drying all our things to get rid of the problem. I hope they get to the bottom of the problem!

Vibe Analysis

The rooftop garden is the main hangout here, with hammocks, sunset time, books, beers, and an easy setup for meeting other travelers without turning the place into a party bunker. It gives Karma Home a calm, homey social pulse. Mark and Mint are a big part of the hostel’s personality: warm check-ins, detailed local route advice, dinner invites, and practical help with temples, food, transport, scooters, bikes, and nearby trips. The place fits solo travelers especially well, with a small-scale, friendly rhythm and a trust-based setup for drinks, snacks, food, and kitchen use. The location is useful for Phitsanulok: close enough to walk to the train station, river, temples, street food, shops, and the center. Rooms and dorm setups vary a lot, from comfortable private rooms with air con to simpler fan beds in open corridor-style spaces, so pick carefully if privacy, cooling, or sleep quality matter.
