It has bedbugs, never stay there if you don’t want to itch the all days in your trip

Got bed bugs. Bathrooms were feral. Ended up using bathrooms at a friends accomodation.

The beds and dorms are reek smelly, no ventilation, mattresses with bedbugs, toilets dirty, and out of service. No harm in being a budget hostel, but cleanliness was not in their dictionary. Lockers were old and in bad shape. They charge you for towels. Stay only if you have no choice but to be homeless.

La habitación le falta un aire acondicionado, hacía mucho calor y estaría buenísimo que les agregaran cortinas a las camas. Y creo que me picaron las bed bugs. En la ducha no salía agua fría, sólo caliente.

So good! Lots of fun super social! Just.... there are alot of bed bugs... i mean its bad... but man alot of fun!! Sorry this review is old. Not sure why its saying 4 days old 13- 9 -20. This was 13- 9- 17, jo idea why it's done that. Anyway the issue in question was being delt with as I was leaving. This was an issue with a few hostels in Amsterdam. Seems like you have taken care of it.... maybe. Still one of the best hostels.

BED BUGS !!! Its horrible all rooms have bed bugs they knew it ( director and staff ) and said nothing !!! Its criminal when u know all problems bed bugs can make ... Also verry far from the center !

Upon arrival, we were told that hostel just had bed bugs but they had closed to fumigate. But after talking with others in the hostel, there were still some crawling around... Gross! The hostel was generally clean and quiet. But if you are looking to be centrally located, look somewhere else. It is quite a hike back if you plan to have some late nights on the town. The worst part of the trip was having my personal items go missing. On the 2nd last day of my trip, I returned to my room to find that my bedding had been changed and personal items on top of my bed missing. After talking to the front desk, they thought I was checking out two days early and decided to give my bed away. The worst part was that they couldn't find my things and said the cleaners had "thrown it away" (I find that hard to believe). I was not offered any compensation besides a 'drink at the bar'. You get what you pay for, but I would suggest somewhere else!

It was a nice hostel until we got the awful experience with those bed bugs, I still can not believe how you guys let people stay over, me and my family got so many bites and we are so scare to get consequence later, it is very very itchy still, and it's been almost a week.... I have to say that the staff was nice and the hostel is good, but with that problem and that epidemic I would not be back and I Would never recommend it to my friends. You guys should be sure you are totally clean and get rid of those animals before let people sleep over, it is very irresponsible from you!

If I had an option I'd choose 0 stars, the hostel is infested with bed bugs and all the staff and the manager are aware of the problem but do nothing about it. When I addressed the issue to the manager he was in complete denial and told me he doesn't know who stayed before in this room and those ppl who stayed before us must have got bugs with them. I'd recommend everyone to stay at a better and a cleaner bug free place for the same value of money and also this hostel is very from the main station as well.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And there’s not just a few of them either it’s loaded with the nasty things. Checked in late (1:00 am) Staff was nice. Our room was a disaster when we checked in (that’s not their fault (still sucked)).... Didn’t even get fully unpacked before my boyfriend told me to get up he had already gotten bit up a bunch by bed bugs. Went to the front and let them know. They immediately said they would refund our money almost as if it was a rehearsed response... so we stayed the night in their lobby and left the next morning. Stupidly left our things in the dorm. Now we are carrying our things in large plastic bags.

I would probably give this hostel a 4-star rating if it wasn’t for ... *drum roll* the bedbugs. The night my friend and I arrived, we got our room assigned and since it was very late, immediately went to bed. I got up again at 1am because I felt tingling on me and then discovered with my phone’s flashlight the bugs in my bed. I then went to the reception where me and another girl from another room both complained and got new beds assigned in other rooms, those were bed bug free and we had a good stay for the remaining 2 nights. I have NEVER slept in a place with bed bugs. As someone who works in a hotel herself, this is unacceptable, when you have bed bugs, the logical decision is to cancel reservations, help the stranded guests find another accomodation, give refunds and GET RID OF THE BUGS before even thinking about selling beds to new guests. As i said, this is generally a good hostel. A nice community area and kitchen for everyone, clean showers and bathrooms, stroopwaffels on arrival, bar open late into the night on weekends. Everything you expect from a hostel. Sadly, we noticed new people getting beds in our old, infested room every day and felt so bad for them. The hostel’s behavior in this case was horrible.

BEDBUGS They admitted that there was a problem before we checked in. They never told us and we slept in bed bug infested beds. Ruined our trip.

I had bed bugs in my room. The staff couldn't offer me a replacement room. Moreover, it seemed like the staff had got this complain from someone before me as well. I am not sure why they are allowing people to stay in a room which they know is already infested with bedbugs! However, the staff was very friendly.

I have stayed since Friday 15/06/18 to Sunday 06/17/18 at your hostel. On Saturday morning, a very small animal appeared in my bed, which I thought was nothing more than a mosquito. I had some welt on my arm and I stayed there. However, last night I had a terrible time a series of bites appeared on the left side of my body with a terrible itching and a hives reaction. Well I have gone to the dermatologist and my surprise is that he informs me that they are bites of bed bugs!!!!!, which are given by terrible conditions of hygiene in the beds, sheets and mattresses. Apart from being terrible because of the bites, it is totally unpleasant to know where all this comes from. You charge for a lodging service that does not even meet adequate hygiene conditions for people.

Bettwanzen/Bedbugs in the rooms. Which is a huge problem. This seems to be a known problem, as evidenced by older reviews. Which raises the question: why they rent out the infested rooms. Also people were throwing bottles out of the windows at guests. The staff was friendly though. Still I'd advise anyone to not come here.

This hostel had bed bugs. I am currently covered in angry, itchy welts from one night spent in their hostel. I have never had to deal with them before, and it was truly traumatic. The itching has become intense and it’s definitely effected the quality of my trip. The part that upsets me the most is that they knew it had bed bugs and the room was “being treated”... yet they allowed 8 girls to stay in that room. They should have given us our money back and told us to stay elsewhere. Would’ve sucked, but not as terrible as waking up to bed bugs crawling on me at 7am. Also, the rooms are so hot at night! So yea... we had a terrible time and hope to be compensated further for our distress. This is jnaccpetable

I lost sleep and had a really poor experience due to the bed bugs. The front desk manager felt really bad and gave me my money back. However, I left the hostel with half my body swollen with bites, the refund does not help, the hostel needs to go through a check and maintain their room on a regular basis to void this issue.

Bed bugs in the first room. I didn't fit in the beds they were too small. On the last night there were 4 hours of banging in the morning. The showers etc were clean. the floor in the first room was sticky, I couldn't take my shoes off in it unless I was going to bed. The staff were friendly, apart from when the guy tried to argue about the bed bugs. The guy told me they've had 17 people stopped in the room after, if you stayed in room 10 between Christmas and new year, check your beds.

A clean and modern hostel in a quiet neighbourhood. It is easily accessible via public transport, but 30 minutea away from the city centre. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But there was one major drawback: there were bed bugs in our room. The staff reacted by giving us a full refund of our rooms, but they let people sleep in the exact same room again, even though they know that it is bug infected.
