Samps Hostel

Photos are fake. Please do yourself the favour and read the reviews as well, it has soooo many bed bugs and a lot of mold. I get that it is a budget hostel but this is unsafe for everyone’s wellbeing.

The worst experience ever, stayed there for two nights with my best friend. Safety: it’s unsafe place where one night when we back to sleep we found someone sleeping on my friend’s bed and then fight happened between the receptionist and a guy from the room. Cleanliness: Super dirty toilets and showers smell bad, my friend got bed bugs from his bed. Also when the man slept in his bed he used my friend’s blanket and pillow and when my friend ask for replace them they said they don’t have. 0/10

A minha estadia no Samps Hostel, em Lisboa, foi extremamente negativa e precisa ser registrada, tanto pela falta de profissionalismo quanto pela conduta discriminatória da recepção e pelas condições precárias de higiene. Logo no check-in, o recepcionista tentou nos vender um “upgrade” para um quarto privado, cobrando 25€ a mais por pessoa, além do valor já pago na reserva. Mesmo após explicarmos que havíamos reservado um quarto compartilhado de seis camas, ele insistiu. O mais grave foi o argumento utilizado: disse que seria perigoso ficarmos no quarto, pois havia “blacks” e “Arábians”. Uma postura claramente xenofóbica, que nos deixou muito desconfortáveis e com a impressão de que ele estava tentando nos assustar apenas para lucrar. Ignoramos a tentativa e seguimos nossa viagem. Porém, ao retornar à noite, vimos que o recepcionista havia sido completamente desonesto: o quarto estava ocupado por pessoas tranquilas – dois homens africanos e um senhor de idade – que em nenhum momento nos causaram qualquer problema. Pelo contrário, foram sempre respeitosos. Ou seja, o recepcionista distorceu os fatos para criar medo e manipular a situação. Além disso, a limpeza e as condições do hostel são extremamente precárias: • Banheiros sujos e malcuidados, com vaso entupido e fezes no chão, que permaneceram sem higienização adequada e com cheiro insuportável. • Lavanderia em péssimas condições, com roupas sujas misturadas às limpas, gerando nojo e insegurança. • Problemas com roupas de cama: a manta da minha amiga desapareceu, e só foi encontrada depois em outra cama do mesmo quarto. Pedimos edredons extras, que também sumiram. Na minha cama, colocaram um edredom com cheiro de fezes, o que foi extremamente desagradável. Outro ponto gravíssimo: após desconfiar da má reputação do hostel, pesquisei no Google e encontrei vários relatos de infestação de percevejos.

fui mal tratado pelo dono do hostel, o mesmo gritou comigo porque pendurei roupa na minha cama, sendo que dentro do quarto quem deveria poder decidir como usar sou eu, e nas regras do hostel era claro que não poderia pendurar na janela, então não fez sentido nenhum eu ter que ouvir grito porque estava pendurando minha roupa na minha cama. Outro ponto é que fui picado por percevejos no quarto. Também ouvi comentários homofóbicos por parte do dono do hostel falando de outros hospedes, sendo eu uma pessoa trans, foi bem ruim ouvir os comentários dele e aí entendi o motivo dele achar normal ir gritar comigo.

Very, very dirty, the room was dirty but also the kitchen and the bathrooms. We even had BED BUGS on our beds (22 bites, you can see some in the photos). The room was untidy before our arrival, there were some dirty socks laying on the ground. Furthermore, there was an unpleasant smell all around the hostel. The worst one we’ve even been to, and we’ve seen A LOT.

É sujo e fui picado por percevejos lá, estou muito chateado.

Mi amiga y yo nos quedamos tres días y dos noches, la bienvenida fue muy calida de parte de el chico y nos indicó casi todo muy bien, muy amable y simpático, nos permitió dejarle nuestras mochilas antes del check in así que pudimos salir más cómodas. El área es tranquila y con gente con muy buena disposición, literalmente al lado de la estación de metro y muy cerca de lugares turísticos. Las habitaciones tienen lookers pero debes traer tu propio candado, las camas sonaban un poco al moverse pero por el precio no son malas, no vimos ni una bedbug así que todo bien y tampoco cucarachas, en la habitación de chicas todo el trato muy cordial, hace mucho calor en las habitaciones solamente pero tenía un muy lindo balcon con vista a la estatua de herando de magallanes. La higiene de los baños podría ser mejor pero no estaba mala, tenían jabón y papel higiénico, sólo que las duchas tienen sólo cortina y no son muy privadas pero a parte de eso todo bien. El desayuno estaba bueno era simple pero perfecto para comer algo liviano por la mañana, el caballero que te ayuda a prepararlo muy amable. En general el servicio estuvo muy bien sólo podrían mejorar en los baños, nos quedamos yo y mi amiga en el último piso y estaban remodelando así que estará mejor luego!! no hay malos olores y pues hay mucha diversidad cultural y eso es lo mejor!!!! gracias por todo y sí volveríamos. ;D

Tive picadas de percevejo durante a estadia, fiquei com o corpo todo inflamado. Cobram pra usar toalha, banheiro sujo, sem estrutura para guardar alimentos, armários todos com as trancas quebradas (estouradas), beliche muito barulhento e totalmente instável (quando a pessoa de cima se movia, balançava todo o beliche).

I didn't like the cleanse it's very bad they have bed bugs and i saw cockroach in bathroom and they have just one bathroom in my floor I was living in first floor it's very loud and noise and the stuff some time is not in front desk and i have to wait them outside to open door for me and about the breakfast they just give two slides of toast and if ask extra stuff said no just two toast really really bad experience

An Absolute Filth Pit – Avoid at All Costs! I wouldn’t wish a stay at this disgusting cesspool on my worst enemy. This is, without a doubt, the filthiest, most vile excuse for a hostel I have ever had the misfortune of booking. The place is a biohazard, a disease-ridden nightmare that should be condemned rather than advertised as a place of lodging. Let’s start with the stench—a stomach-churning mix of mold, sweat, and unflushed toilets that hits you the moment you step inside. The floors were sticky with god-knows-what, and dirt was caked into every crevice. The sheets looked like they hadn’t been washed in weeks, stained with unidentifiable blotches that made me seriously consider sleeping in my clothes. The bathrooms were an absolute horror show—grimy, clogged, and reeked like an open sewer. The showers had layers of scum so thick you could scrape it off with a knife, and the water pressure was about as effective as a drunk spitting on you. The toilets? I’ve seen cleaner public restrooms in gas stations at 3 AM. To make matters worse, the staff were completely indifferent, acting as if guests complaining about black mold and infestations of bugs was just another day in their rotting, unsanitary hellhole. Speaking of bugs, expect cockroaches, mosquitoes, and possibly even bedbugs—because this place is a paradise for every creeping, crawling nightmare imaginable. I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me in gold bars. If you have even a shred of self-respect, do yourself a favor and burn your money instead of booking this hostel—at least fire is a known disinfectant.

The beds are completely unstable and super squeaky. Also, when I came back, I found bed bugs on my backpack, not a very pleasant sight!!

There are horrible bed bugs, no hot water, the sheets are old, frayed and with awful smell, inactive internet in the bedrooms, broken plugins and lights in the rooms. No female rooms. Don’t waste your money for this terrible place!!!

BEDWANTSEN! Let op er zijn hier bedwantsen. Veel van de matrassen zijn ook in plastic gewikkeld. Als je bedwantsen in je kamer vindt kan je naar een andere kamer krijgen maar echt prettig slaapt het niet. Personeel is ook op de hoogte van bedwantsen maar informeert de gasten hier niet over.

Very few utencils in the kitchen, but you can always manage with what is around. I did not find bedbugs despite some reviews about them being in the rooms, but always check :) nice personal, always cleaners around. No space to leave ur baggage after check out because of how many people live in the hostel. Room felt very safe. Overall a positive hostel experience👍🏼

this place s horrible and should not be allowed to stay in business. there are bed bugs,there is no hot water in the sinks.there is hot water in the showers though. there are no locks on the bathroom doors, no hooks to hang your cloths when you shower no plugins in the rooms,no lights and no heat.. i would not reccomend this to a dog.

The hostel didn‘t look like the posted pictures, it was relly untidy & they just had a bed bug issue in the prior weeks. We didn‘t stay the night & switched to an other hostel after seeing it.
