Hotel Ciutat del Prat Barcelona Airport
Bed bug reports

Possible Google Maps

We found a bed bug in our room as well as other signs of lack of cleanliness on the floor. When we brought this (with a pic) to the attention of reception staff, they reported no rooms were available. Offered us free breakfast and to change the sheets, but didn’t seem sufficient.

Vibe Analysis
Hotel Ciutat del Prat Barcelona Airport is a transit hotel, not a hostel, and the airport logistics are the reason to consider it. The useful version is clean modern rooms, comfortable beds, an airport shuttle when it works for your timing, a restaurant or bar downstairs, breakfast, a small gym/pool/sauna setup, and a neighborhood with some restaurants and shops if you have a longer layover. It is not as frictionless as an airport hotel should be. Shuttle instructions, booking, timing, and missed pickups come up a lot, and the hotel is still a ride from the airport rather than a quick walk. Rooms can be comfortable and quiet, but they can also be stuffy, too warm in winter, noisy from halls or street, or affected by pests, mold, broken fridges, or poor maintenance. This is best for travelers who want a bed near the airport and are willing to verify the shuttle plan in advance. If the price is high, the value can feel thin; the four-star label creates expectations that the basics do not always meet.
Signals to check
- The airport shuttle can be confusing, full, late, missed, or unavailable at needed times.
- Temperature and airflow problems can make pre-flight sleep difficult.
- Noise insulation is inconsistent, with hallway, room, and street noise complaints.
- Pest, mold, and maintenance reports exist despite the modern-hotel positioning.
- There is one serious bag-theft report around the lobby/shuttle area; keep valuables on your body.
