I’m glad I stayed here! I had to pivot last minute as my other hotel I had booked was disgusting and had a lot of reviews about bed bugs so I quickly booked CityHub as an alternative. I’d already stayed in CityHub Copenhagen so I knew what to expect. The one is Copenhagen is definitely more modern and has better facilities, as a few other reviews pointed out, but otherwise this place is great. The bed is spacious and quiet and I personally recommend the bottom bunk as I find it’s a bit easy to get around in. The bathrooms and showers are very well equipped and the staff members are incredibly helpful and friendly to top it all off. The location is slightly out of the way but with public transport you can get around super quickly. You can’t go wrong with this place!

Vibe Analysis
The hub setup is the thing here: compact private sleep pods with a slick futuristic look, wristband entry, app-style controls, speakers, and mood lighting. Beds can be comfortable, and the whole setup works best as a clean crash pad for Amsterdam rather than a classic bunk-room social hostel. The location is useful for De Hallen, nearby food spots, a busy street market, tram links, and walks toward central Amsterdam. The lobby has a chilled modern feel, with lockers for early luggage, a fridge, a small kitchen area, a bar, vending machines, self-serve drinks, and sometimes even Herman the hostel cat doing tiny celebrity work. Staff can be warm and helpful, especially with luggage, early arrival, local tips, and room issues. Cleanliness is mixed: bathrooms, showers, and shared areas can be spotless and well maintained, but pods, toilets, mattresses, pillows, and showers sometimes miss the mark.

- Pods are small, especially for two people with bags, and they may feel claustrophobic.
- Soundproofing is a real weak spot; hallway noise, door slams, neighbors, late arrivals, and morning movement can travel into the pods.
