Bed bug reports

I checked my history during my first night here, and found I have stayed in at least 32 hostels in the last 5 years. And I can comfortably say this was the worst one I have ever been in. As soon as I got into the room I knew I was going to dread spending 4 nights here. The room was so unbelievably cramped. You couldn't hardly open the lockers on my side because the beds were so close. The ceilings were very low, the middle bunks were incredibly awkward to enter. The lighting was mostly broken, very dim. Way too many beds crammed into a small, dingy space. It screamed capitalist greed from the first glance. It smelled bad. It was so hot. At least 35 degrees Celsius. Everyone in the room agreed it was too hot. In the middle of January. The heat was blasting from the vents. I tried to open the windows, only to find them blocked with a sign saying "DO NOT OPEN THE WINDOWS. There is A/C." No A/C was turned on. The lockers were just slightly too small for a typical carry on baggage. No keycards, only pass codes which does not feel safe. They have drop-down ceilings in the dorms. I was looking at those thinking to myself, "this is a terrible idea for a hostel dorm. Bedbugs can hide in those ceilings and you'll never find them." And, I am not making this up by the way, AS I am in the middle of thinking this, my roommate jumps up and flips his mattress with a flashlight. His body was covered in bedbug bites, all in lines. I immediately took everything out of there, sealed everything up in bags, put everything in the dryer. I had to throw out some of my more expensive wool items that shrunk from the dryer because of this (costed more than the hostel🙄). The bathrooms were really jank, like propped up plywood sheets. But for some reason, this all applies only to the one building without reception.
