I had the most AMAZING time there! The breakfast was good, all the guests were SO friendly, Chakka & Maui made our trip special! I’ve never stayed in a hostel before, and I was nervous or hesitant about traveling as a mature female over 40 with a family. M son, husband and I stayed in the 2 bed private suite and it was PERFECT. A magical little fairy cabin. We slept so well, the beds were soft, I always check hotels for signs of bedbugs, the sheets were PRISTINE and bleached, we Loved it!

  2. Confirmed Google Maps

Ive stayed 2 nights here, the place has a good location, groceries stores near by, every local attraction at walking distance. The bed/room were clean, i was in the dormroom 2, a shower and a toilet for 7 people might be a little short. No bedbug. The people working here are friendly, more than willing to help you. They even plan differents activities so people would socialize together. Breakfast every morning Price is cheap, its a real "hostel experience"

  3. Confirmed Google Maps

They are the nastiest people. Called them to check availability for 1 bed-online stated only two beds available so called to request if I could get the lower bunk bed. The guy kept saying oh man you can do this online and oh man - sounded so frustrated with life. Go get a life first and stop being nasty especially when you are in people facing business. I’m sure people are right when they say this place is infested with bedbugs.

Vibe Analysis

Madame Isabelle's House is a cozy, social hostel with shared spaces, a kitchen, a garden, a porch, a back patio, and a hot tub. Cats are part of the place, and the house has breakfast service. The atmosphere leans relaxed rather than party-heavy. The location is a strong fit for exploring New Orleans. It is an easy walk to the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street, with bus and streetcar access nearby for getting around the city. Rooms are generally comfortable, and some beds have curtains for extra privacy. Staff are welcoming and helpful, and the property often feels organized, warm, and easy to settle into.
