Possible Hostelworld
Over het algemeen hebben we het als een fijn hostel ervaren, maar helaas niet de ervaring die te lezen was in de reviews. De eerste avond ontdekte wij bedwantsen in twee bedden in de kamer (na ook overdag te hebben gecheckt). We kregen een nieuwe kamer, maar helaas was het hostel personeel niet heel meedenkend, reageerden alsof het normaal was en wij juist overdreven reageerden.

Stayed here for the Full Moon Party – great atmosphere and the BBQ beforehand was a fun, chilled way to meet people. Lovely open-plan layout and nice rooms. Unfortunately, my bed had bed bugs. When I told the owner, he denied it and said it was a sun allergy, which felt rude as I was only trying to inform him and not asking for any compensation. The lady who owns the hostel (Mangu), was warm and welcoming.

Vibe Analysis
Bunkhouse Koh Phangan is a very clean, open hostel with a relaxed social feel. The common areas are large and easy to spend time in, and the atmosphere leans calm rather than party-focused. The owner, Mango, and the rest of the team come across as very hands-on and caring. Practical touches like coffee, tea, fruit, snacks, games, movie nights, bingo, and occasional BBQs add to the sense of an easy, welcoming place. Rooms are comfortable and private, with curtains on the beds, lockers, strong air conditioning, and clean bathrooms. The location is useful for beaches, restaurants, a 7-Eleven, and markets, while a scooter makes getting around the island much easier.
