Bed bug reports

Stayed here for about a week, my bunk had bed bugs and I started noticing bites a few nights after checking in. Asked them to change my sheets AND mattress, I don't think the mattress got changed efficiently because I still ended up getting more bites throughout my stay AND I brought bed bugs home. The hostel blasts loud music every night so it's hard to fall asleep, the free dinners were nice but if you're someone that goes to bed early/doesn't go bar hop that much definitely reconsider. The area was convenient but there's definitely better options. Be careful about the bed bugs!!!!!!

I enjoyed my time here. Comfy beds with power outlets, usb ports, lights and curtains for privacy. AC in rooms. Kitchen, social activities and a complimentary dinner for a small donation which I'd recommend joining in as it is a great way to meet people. Location is great, super walkable location and the metro is nearby and easy to use for longer distances. The staff are from all over the world. They were very personable, attentive and have a high level of English which is important as the hostel is very international. The whole hostel was always clean and no bed bugs. Has a laundry service but seemed quite busy so I used a laundromat that was a minutes walk away and open late. I will say it is quite a party vibe hostel so you need to be prepared for noise at night and music during the day and night as all the bedrooms share a door with the common room or the kitchen. I found with ear plugs and a midnight noise curfew it wasn't an issue getting some sleep.

Vibe Analysis
Onefam Batllo is a small, highly social Barcelona hostel with a very active schedule. Shared dinners, drinking games, club nights, walking tours, and day trips make it easy to meet people fast. Staff are a major part of the experience: warm, helpful, and hands-on, often running the dinner and night plans themselves. The hostel is clean, well located for the center and metro, and some rooms have A/C, curtains, charging points, and comfortable beds. It can be noisy at night, and the common spaces are small for the amount of activity. Some rooms also run hot, dark, or a bit tight, so this fits travelers who want energy more than quiet.
Signals to check
- Can be loud at night, especially with music and organized outings.
- Common spaces are small, and some rooms feel hot, dark, or cramped.
- The vibe is geared toward a younger, party-focused crowd.
