Bed bug reports

Next time I would pay a bit more but I would stay more centrally. The walk to the city center or to the bus station takes time but I was aware of it and it was safe even late at night. They have limited arrival time so take that into consideration should your bus be late. I stayed there two nights and after waking-up the first morning to bugs crawling on me and getting the explanation that it is common because the window to the garden was opened my mood was down. After seeing them the second night crawling out from the red bed curtains, showing them to the staff and explaning with google images that they are not some harmless bugs but bed bugs I asked for another room which I eventually got and it was perfectly bug-free. The staff was kind and helpful but my mood was down those two days. The 8-bed room with 10 beds (two empty) was basic, without air conditioning and with an opened window to the garden. It was clean with two showers (one outside the bathroom), bed curtains (which I wanted but in the end did not appreciate), bed light and a charger. I liked the common dining area, kitchen (where I only re-heated my meals), free weight to weigh your luggage, public bathrooms, terrace and garden. As the hostel is far away from the bus station, leave your luggage elsewhere, even if you have to pay a little - it is worth the saved time. I paid 4 euro for a day at a bus station. Bologna isn't the cheapest and I have been to better hostels but overall it was alright.

The two main things were that the person at the desk was a little cold, and I’m pretty sure I was eaten by bedbugs while there
