Bed bug reports

Overall, the stay was good. The administration was polite and nice, the rooms are spacious and the view from the balcony is amazing. I enjoyed time spent in the garden and would even recommend the place. The location was also great and central. But addressing the biggest most disgusting and unacceptable thing, it's bedbugs that I discovered upon seeing one on my bag and then a night later bites from them. This has been.. a very unpleasant experience.

Possible Booking.com
Pulizia zero: la mia compagna è stata letteralmente mangiata dalle cimici da letto e nonostante questo l’albergatore continuava ad insistere sul fatto che le avessimo prese in un altro albergo. Male, veramente male!

Vibe Analysis
Urban Oasis Hostel is a spacious Lecce base between the train station and the historic center, usually an easy walk to both. The building has roomy dorms and private rooms, clean shared spaces, a kitchen, sitting areas, and a library, with a relaxed, low-key atmosphere rather than a party-machine setup. The garden is the signature: a big courtyard with citrus trees and resident cats. It gives the hostel a calm hangout zone, and in winter there can be oranges, mandarins, or lemons straight from the trees. Social life can click through the WhatsApp group, community dinner, day trips, and private transfers to coastal spots in off-season, but it is not guaranteed every night. Staff are usually friendly and helpful, with Walter and the volunteer crew adding a lot when they are around.
