About my experience I can say in the beginning all was good not excellent. I lived there almost 4 months and issues like bedbugs, housekeeping team and poor kitchen schedule was terrible. The people who lived there was amazing, like is a very good experience if you arrive and you want to know people that’s the perfect place and is a very good location. I experiment a very bad experience with one person of the staff, very unprofessional with me and some of the people who lived there. I suggest lived there just 2 months and try to get another place like apartment or house to lived and get a perfect experience in townsville. Any answer from the hostel is the same guys who is unprofessional with more people, just follow my suggestion.

In den Betten hatten wir Gesellschaft von Bettwanzen. Hostel ansonsten okay. Küche war immer sehr sauber.👍🏻

Good place to stay, safe, clean, good staff, affordable accommodation on a budget, no frills backpackers accommodation, good kitchen facilities, clean bed Bug free beds, great location 3 minutes walk to Wollies and local bottle shop

Nothing to rave about but this place is fine to stay a night or 2. Not close to ferry or greyhound buses but they run a shuttle. Not many socialising areas which is a downfall - you either have to sit outside (Not ideal in a tropical area with lots of rain) or in the hot, sweaty kitchen, Or in your room. Kitchen is clean with plenty of utensils. Our private room was reasonably priced although I think may have a problem with bed bugs - I never get bitten but after 2 nights here have woken up covered in little bites that are itching like mad!

Civic Guest House Backpackers Hostel funciona mejor como plataforma de salida en Townsville: Woolworths esta cerca, los buses quedan comodos, Castle Hill esta al alcance y los planes a Magnetic Island son bastante faciles con la conexion al ferry cerca. El hostel tiene piscina, cocina, espacio exterior para juntarse, te y cafe gratis, y refrigeradores en las habitaciones, algo genuinamente util cuando el refrigerador compartido se vuelve caotico. El ambiente es mixto. En su mejor version, se siente limpio, relajado, amable y un poco familiar, con staff calido y areas comunes faciles. No es un party hostel pulido, y la escena social puede inclinarse mas a casa de residentes que a laboratorio de caos mochilero. La calidad de habitaciones varia fuerte. Las privadas y los dormitorios mas limpios pueden ser comodos, con aire acondicionado, opciones ensuite, codigos seguros y camas decentes. Otros dormitorios pueden sentirse apretados o tomados por residentes de largo plazo, con poco espacio de repisas, sin cortinas en las camas, enchufes de cabecera ausentes, lockers flojos y ruido atravesando paredes delgadas.

- La limpieza es inconsistente, especialmente en banos, cocinas, rincones de dormitorios y platos compartidos.
- Los residentes de largo plazo pueden hacer que las habitaciones se sientan llenas, vividas y menos abiertas para viajeros de corta estadia.
- El ruido puede ser un problema real por la noche, especialmente cerca de areas sociales, pasillos o habitaciones con mala insonorizacion.
- La seguridad y el setup de habitaciones pueden variar: cerraduras, lockers, enchufes de cama, cortinas y almacenamiento no son confiables en todas las habitaciones.
- Hay problemas recurrentes con reservas, reembolsos, acceso tardio a recepcion y mantenimientos sin resolver.
