Got bit by bed bugs here, checked out early and didn’t get a refund. It’s an amazing location, but doesn’t have a kitchen for food. Lots of partying and very social. Better than other hostels in the area just way overpriced

To be honest, I was highly disappointed with my stay. The experience seemed like it was meant for a certain group of people and the spaces were not inclusive. The staff was not welcoming, the formality of the hostel was frustrating, and it was overall not worth the money. The room feels painted over, facilities are not the best, and I found what appeared to be a bed bug in the room with photos. For the price point of this hostel I expected a drastic difference.

Was moved twice due to bed bug concerns. One guest (woman) was attacked by another guest (man) and they allowed him to stay in the hostel another night instead of kick him out. Bring good headphones and eye mask because parties go here until 4am with people coming in and out at all times

The rooms were very small with no room to lay out your stuff and allow people to pass. The storage area was super stiff to shut and quite small. But worst of all the insects in the room. I don’t mind seeing the odd ant around the hostel but up stairs in the room with multiple cockroaches and as well a couple of my roommates having bed bugs is just insane. Also the bathrooms were super small with mold

Very social and easy to meet people. Some of the staff are nice and others seem like you are bothering them to do their job.. there was one girl who was extremely rude while checking the beds in the room. The rooms are not clean, white stuff coming out from the floor which made our shoes sticky. There was a guest who had bedbugs in another room and she was simply moved to our room. I complained about this and the cleaning ladies came in the next day and sprayed something extremely strong which gave me a headaches when trying to sleep. The place is managed by what seem to be 18-20 year olds so do not expect the best service.

This place seems like a great time and has great events. However keep in mind they have bed bugs. Looked through around 10 pairs of sheets and they all had black dots on them and few with blood stains. Staff was willing to provide a refund and was very kind about it but they didn’t seem suprised by their infestation.

More Ipanema marche surtout si Rio est le programme: emplacement à Ipanema, plage/métro/restaurants tout près, et une équipe d'activités qui te pousse dehors dans la ville. Le signal social est net: activités quotidiennes, randos, sorties stade ou foot, fêtes, verres sur la plage, et assez de voyageurs solo pour que les rencontres soient faciles quand le groupe prend. Le meilleur profil: voyageur solo ou très social qui préfère les plans au confort léché. Maya et Victoria reçoivent des mentions très positives, et le bar/espace fête du bas peut servir de rampe de lancement. En journée l'ambiance peut être plus calme; le soir, ça peut basculer très party. Le compromis, ce sont les installations. Les chambres peuvent être petites, basiques et humides; les salles de bain reviennent souvent comme point faible; la cuisine/frigo pour voyageurs est limitée; et le rapport qualité-prix peut sembler bancal, surtout quand les tarifs montent. Prends-le comme un choix social + emplacement, pas comme un séjour confort d'abord. Si tu veux du calme, un gros niveau de propreté, des dortoirs spacieux ou un vrai coin pour travailler, cet endroit peut vite tester ta patience.

- La propreté est le principal risque pratique: chambres et salles de bain peuvent sentir l'humidité, paraître sales, et avoir moisissures ou nuisibles.
- Les dortoirs et salles de bain peuvent être serrés; certaines chambres ont une seule salle de bain pour beaucoup de lits, et les étages hauts peuvent demander des escaliers après l'ascenseur.
- Il n'y a pas vraiment de cuisine/frigo voyageurs; prévois donc ton budget repas et le stockage en conséquence.
- Le service peut passer de très sympa à brusque ou désorganisé, surtout côté supervision, guides et résolution des problèmes.
- Ce n'est pas une base calme: fêtes, bruit du bar, couloirs animés et peu d'espace chill peuvent te suivre jusque dans les étages le soir.
- Utilise casiers/cadenas pour les objets de valeur; le rangement libre en chambre ne doit pas être traité comme sécurisé.
