Corridors too dark, bed bugs. Racist East Asian staff member looked at me and interacted with me as a PhD educated British brown skinned gay man as if I was inferior to her, management need to care more about staff being racist and rude.

Horrendous and scary place to be in , they have bedbugs, roaches and nasty stuff I was hardly able to take a shower because room smelled like it's a garbage can full of expired tuna inside. I won't ever come there and strongly don't recommend even if it's free !!!

I feel very conflicted about this hostel. The shared dorms were segregated in a way that offered privacy and personal space. The bathroom facilities are located within the dorms and cleaned regularly. My friend and I stayed at Bastardo for four nights; However, on the last night, my friend decided to flip over her pillow for the first time to find disturbing blood stains on the pillow. The stain looks too large to be related to bed bugs, but regardless, we were both shocked to find this. It clearly shows that the pillow case was not changed before our arrival, which suggests there is a serious concern with the level of hygiene at this hostel. We really enjoyed our stay at Bastardo until finding these disturbing blood stains. If you do decide to stay here, please check your bedding.

Analisi dell'atmosfera
Il Bastardo Hostel vi mette nel centro di Madrid, vicino a Malasaña, Fuencarral, collegamenti della metropolitana, cibo, bar, e a pochi passi da Puerta del Sol. La posizione è la più pulita: facile accesso alla città, strade vivaci e abbondanza di vicinanze senza bisogno di un complesso piano di trasporto. Il piano terra dispone di un bar/ristorante, terrazza energetica, musica e cibo e bevande sul posto. L'ostello gestisce anche attività, tra cui serate in stile pub, giochi di bere e programmazione culturale, quindi può adattarsi meglio a un viaggio più giovane, sociale e di festa rispetto a una missione di ricarica tranquilla. Le stanze sono il compromesso. I letti possono essere comodi e alcune stanze hanno aria condizionata, ma spesso la disposizione sembra ristretta, buia e scarsa. Il posto ha un design nero e il concetto di albergo-dormitorio, anche se la struttura del dormitorio può sembrare più funzionale per dormire che per sistemarsi.
Segnali da controllare
- Questa è una scelta rischiosa per chi dorme leggero: rumore del corridoio, rumore della strada, rumore da stanza a stanza, e il bar al piano di sotto può essere in ritardo.
- Le camere possono essere molto piccole, scure, calde, poco ventilate e con poco spazio per i bagagli.
- La pulizia è inconstante, specialmente nei bagni, nelle docce, nelle lenzuola, nei pavimenti e sotto il letto.
- Il servizio può essere irregolare, dal supporto al check-in e alla gestione delle prenotazioni all'attenzione al bar/ristorante.
- La colazione, gli asciugamani, gli armadietti, il bucato, il parcheggio e i sistemi basati su QR possono sembrare poco chiari, limitati o troppo costosi.
