The host should pay serious attention to cleanliness! It is unacceptable to have BEDBUGS and mold! We were with a small child and the horror of finding a woodworm crawling next to her head was total. They were lucky that I saw this one hour before our flight.. the bathroom floor is not clean, moss remains, the whole bathroom is in mold and the water only runs when pressed or it will stop after 1 minute. That's how you wash your hands/face. The sheets are not put on the bed, apparently to check for bugs…the breakfast is extremely limited..very disappointed to stay in this place!

I think this was a pretty clean and convenient hostel and the staff was very kind to me. There aare a few things to note- "Youth" hostel means actual achool age children will be here seemingly on trips, so if that bothers you keep that in mind. Also there ended up being a fairly large infestation of bed bugs while I was staying here. This can happen anywhere and isnt necessarily their fault, but it is worth the reminder to check your mattress before you sleep and unpack your belongings.

Warning: We had bedbugs and even saw them on the wall. The staff was very friendly and after we showed them our stiches they gave us another private room. It seemed like it wasn‘t the first time people had trouble with that. The air in our first room was terrible and the ac wasn‘t working or really loud. We couldn‘t open the window. The breakfast was ok, but barely no vegan options.

L'ospedale giovanile di Barcellona Pere Tarres è una grande base pratica vicino a Diagonal e Numancia, con facili collegamenti con i trasporti pubblici, Sants a portata di mano e un centro commerciale nelle vicinanze. Funziona meglio come una fermata economica dove la posizione, la reception 24 ore su 24, la custodia dei bagagli, il parcheggio e la colazione inclusa contano più del fascino. Le cose utili sono per lo più a livello della reception: una cucina per il self-catering, una grande zona pranzo, colazione e un patio o zona comune che può sembrare decente. L'edificio può ospitare molti letti, quindi l'atmosfera e' piu' un ostello per giovani istituzionale che un'accogliente tana per backpacker. Le stanze sono la zona debole. I dormitori possono essere caldi, poco ventilati, rumorosi e semplici, senza tende, mobili limitati, materassi scomodi, spazi di deposito rumorosi sotto il letto e letti che possono sembrare imbarazzanti o non sicuri da arrampicarsi. Alcuni bagni sono all'interno delle stanze, a volte suddivisi tra bagno e doccia, e l'allestimento può sembrare più vicino a una residenza scolastica o a una struttura pubblica che a un ostello lucido. La colazione è inclusa e può essere un vero vantaggio se ben fornita, anche se può sembrare anche elementare o ripetitiva. Le esperienze del personale sono contrastanti: alcuni membri del personale sono disponibili e gentili, mentre durante il giorno l'accoglienza può essere brusca o poco accogliente.

- Non e' una scelta molto buona per l'atmosfera, la privacy o per un'atmosfera di ostello sociale.
- Il comfort dei dormitori è incoerente, specialmente per quanto riguarda il calore, la ventilazione, la qualità del materasso e l'accesso ai letti.
- Pulizia e odori possono essere un problema nelle camere, nei bagni, nei corridoi, negli ascensori e nelle aree comuni.
- Il rumore può essere violento, da parte di coinquilini, gruppi scolastici, corridoi, idraulici e aria condizionata.
- Potrebbe essere necessario fare i letti all'arrivo, e coperte o asciugamani potrebbero richiedere una richiesta o una chiarificazione supplementare.
- La colazione è inclusa, ma la varietà e il rifornimento possono essere disomogenei.
- Le possibili preoccupazioni per gli insetti sembrano abbastanza gravi da verificare le condizioni recenti prima della prenotazione.
