Bed bug reports

We slept well but woke up to a bed bug crawling across the duvet. We left immediately, washed all of our clothes and towels (they did provide us with free shampoo and clothes washing tokens)

Bed bugs. I had to go through a lot of effort to prevent them from traveling to my home

Be careful, this hostel has bedbugs! I was bitten in the face, I just woke up from the fact that these areas were burning and itching!

It was very dark and cold at night as there are no actual walls. Maybe it was dark so you could not see the BED BUGS. I’m I woke up with bite marks and talked with one of the receptionists about the issue and asked what they were doing to deal with the situation and the response was to say that this is something happening in Europe in general and that they could not do much about, which is absurd. I had to clean and dry my clothes on my on, no support at all was given. The bathrooms had a terrible smell. The only “good” thing was the breakfast that was included, which isn’t very common. But I actually prefer to stay at places that are CLEAN, over having a (very basic) breakfast included.

Bed bugs, The water pressure of the shower, fix shower head and no hand browse, and air circulation in the sleeping area was smelly

An interesting idea but it needs better execution. The tents are loud (wear earplugs to sleep) and there's no ventilation in the tents. However the biggest problem was that my tent had a bed bug infestation, I checked out after one night and did not get a refund for the rest of my stay.

Not so much to choose for breakfast, that's why i didn't buy any. Also the beds are relatively short. For me, it was all good, but i can't imagine some tall guy to sleep comfortly in them. During my last few days i found bites on myself. They definitely weren't from bed bugs and looked more like from mosquito. It wasn't that horrible and i don't know if there could be done smth about it but maybe bring some repellent with you, just in case :D.

Well aside from the smelly and awfully crowded tent that cannot be locked while you sleep (you can lock your stuff in a locker, but better bring a lock, otherwise you can of course buy one there for a lot of money), the noise from the other 20+ tents around you and the whole setting you can also expect bed bugs here. At least thats what I and 2 of my friends got here when we slept here. Double bad: The guys at the reception tell you its mosquitos and you drive home only to have wonderfull 2-4 weeks getting rid of them first trying yourself and later calling in an exterminator. And the cherry on the cake: You have pictures, e-mails documents, everything that it was there fault, but they wont pay for anything, on top they even ignore you. So a 2 day stay just got 500€ more expensive with a lot more headache. Bed bugs can happen, but I am only just now coming back and writing this review because of how fed up I was with the response from them after I was tired, devistated and...broke. Thanks for that experience!

I had problems with bedbugs in my tent. The staff was friendly, they professionally cleaned my bedroom and gave me coins to wash all my clothes. They didnt change my room because I could infect other rooms.I could tell that only I had the problem, because in the shared bathroom nobody had bites on the skin like me. My arms and legs were really sore and itching. More than 30 bites in each arm. What disappointed me is: I had no idea how much these bites would ruin my holidays. I accepted what the hotel did thinking that was enough, but they should have refunded me all that I paid. I have now so many scars and it is still itching (more than 2 weeks later). The hotel knew the kind of problem that bedbugs are (I had never heard about it before) and, at the end, they just gave me coins to wash my clothes. I was the main victim of the insects and I paid the full amount for my stay. Unfortunately I only realised how unfair this situation was after I left the hostel, but they knew it and didn’t offered anything to compensate my distress. Despite of that I don’t think that the bathrooms are that clean and the tents are a bit noisy.

Bedbugs. they said they can’t do anything, even transfer to a different tent as everything was booked. They offered a refund but other properties were very expensive during our stay, so we decided to stay. But my expectation would be that if you can’t transfer us to a different tent and there are bedbugs there must be compensation. It was terrible experience had tons of bites and my body overreacted to that, also I don’t even know if I didn’t bring any of this shot back home. So an excuse and 2 free drinks is not a compensation I’d expect. Apart from that hostel was good but quite expensive for this concept.

BETTWANZEN!

The bathrooms had a weird smell and the counters were always soaking wet. Probably a users issue and not directly the hostel's fault. Except for that, really clean and hygienic. We had an issue with bedbugs but it seemed like a one-time incident.

Good location, the bar area is fun with lots to do. However, I after 4 nights I was covered in 40+ bites, which I strongly suspect were bed bugs, since neither of my 2 friends were bitten once in the same room. Also, whilst the tent idea is cool, they were very hot to sleep in, even when it was fairly cold outside. Otherwise it was fine. I've been to many hostels and never had a bed bug bite before, so I'm very disappointed by this, and not what you expect in Copenhagen.

Hm, how should I start it... BED BUGS! Yeap, I could not believe myself til I've caught one myself – bloody mess. For some reason I thought those were mosquito bites. Only after few days I finally understood, that you hear them fly. Pretty difficult to sleep in a stuffy place, where you are constantly being bitten, then itching, surrounded by a symphony of caughts, snors and loud mouths, who give 0 Fs. Lovely people at check-in were very sorry and changed the sheets couple of times, but it doesn't help, of course. Also they proposed us with a free ruining of clothes in a 60° wash, thanks! «+» • nice showers and toilets; • tiny breakfast (something the juice concentrate was too diluted though); • conformable mattresses and pillows; • a fine option for a short stay if you are not working; • free ear-plugs; • free towels (with no place to dry them) with 5 days change; • parking lot. «-» • BED BUGS! • padlock should be exactly the diameter to lock your closet. But you can buy one at the check-in :) • it gets really hot in the tent and ventilation pretty much does not exist; • metal things and quite time do not come hand in hand. One sudden move in the enclosed volume of the tent and the bed/closet turns into a gong.
