**Disappointing Experience with Bed Bugs and Poor Customer Service** My stay at this property was marred by several issues. The most alarming was the presence of **bed bugs**. Additionally, I had a reservation from 13 July 2024, but unfortunately, I suffered a mini-stroke the next day and had to spend the week in the hospital. Despite only staying the first and last nights, the property refused to offer any partial refund, even given the extenuating circumstances. I followed the complaints process, but the property was unresponsive and unhelpful. When I requested a copy of their policy, they ignored me completely. It felt like once they had my money, they no longer cared about my situation.

Había CHINCHES en mi cama. Terminé con todo el cuerpo de arriba a abajo lleno de picotazos y lo único que hicieron fue cambiarme de habitación. Casi ponen a otra chica en la cama infestada si no llega a ser por mis compañeras que la avisaron. Llevo esperando a que me respondan para darme algún tipo de indemnización y nada. PÉSIMO.

Amistat Island Hostel Ibiza is a colorful, modern San Antonio base with a pool, bar, big common areas, games downstairs, and a party-leaning rhythm. It works best for a young Ibiza trip built around going out, meeting people at the bar, using the pool, and staying close to local beaches, shops, supermarkets, cafes, and the bus station. The games area downstairs is one of its clearest social hooks: it gives the place an easy hangout zone beyond just drinking, and pairs well with the pool, happy hour, occasional activities, and a free arrival drink when the system is working. There are big fridges and food storage, a kitchen, 24-hour reception, lockers, and in places fast WiFi or work space. This is not a soft landing pad. Dorms can feel cramped, noisy, hot or too cold, and privacy is a recurring weak spot: bunks usually lack curtains, and several bathroom layouts have awkward doors, glass, automatic lights, or little separation from the sleeping area. Cleanliness is inconsistent, especially in shared bathrooms, kitchens, floors, sheets, towels, and showers. Service is a gamble. Some staff interactions are warm and helpful, including taxi help and local tips, while others can feel rude, dismissive, disorganized, or inflexible around check-in, refunds, keys, lockers, lost items, and basic questions. Expect Ibiza prices, extra charges, and a hostel that suits party momentum far better than rest, privacy, or calm.
