Very bad hostel, full of fake reviews. Worst hostel of a 6 month trip around Latin America, easily. I didn’t see any bed bugs, but I did see a lot of bugs. Cockroach running over my bed at one point in the night, lots of dirt and bugs in the corners of the room and around the bed. Room smelt v strongly of damp and mildew. Showers are bad and toilets don’t leave much space to sit down Worst part was that a dj started up without warning at 1am. Loads of totally random people (friends of the owners?) poured in at 1:30 and partied until 4am downstairs and on the roof, meaning little sleep was had. Only plus side was that the staff didn’t f*** me over too much when I cancelled the rest of my stay

Pros: very affordable; convenient location in Old Town Antigua, close to the markets, restaurants, and landmarks; great terrace; can book a cheap tour from the front desk Cons: without a doubt one of one of the dirtiest hostels I've ever stayed in (bed bugs, flies in shower, dirty sink)

Do not stay here. Our beds were infested with bedbugs and when we confronted a member of staff about it he became aggressive and hostile towards myself and my friends. The other workers at the hostel downplayed the situation, explaining that he was drunk (it was midday on a Sunday - there should be no excuse for that). First of all, the hostel worker tried telling me and my friends that it was our fault there were bed bugs, hectoring and laughing at us saying we brought them there. He then proceeded to attempt to intimidate after we called him deluded and squared up to me (there was nothing intimidating about this however, he was a small small man with biceps the size of my wrists). Anyway, do not recommend staying here at all.
