The riverside courtyard and terrace are the clearest personality here: a small outdoor perch by the Vilaine for a drink, a smoke, a quiet read, or a low-key sunset pause. Inside, the cafe-bar lounge has cosy decor, plants, warm lighting, and a compact social feel rather than a big party-hostel setup. Les Chouettes works best as a cute, central Rennes base with friendly staff, easy access to the station, the old town, buses, restaurants, creperies, shops, and the Parc du Thabor.
