Why this surfaced
Repeated, deduplicated traveler-review reports matched these incident categories:
One report can match more than one category. Counts describe review reports, not independently verified incidents.
These are reports in traveler reviews, not independently verified incidents. Duplicate review text and strong repeat-reviewer identities count once.
Category matches are automated. Relevant passages are exact review quotes selected from concrete incident wording, not hidden model rationales. If none appears, treat the match as suspect and check the full review.

Full reviewWouldn’t recommend for solo traveling women. Many instances of drunk host and others overstepping boundaries with the female guest. The hostel itself is in great location right next to food, beaches and clubs and while I did enjoy the host hospitality (being a man) I seen it come off wrong towards multiple women during my stay. No locks on doors so anyone can go anywhere in the house. The balcony where everyone parties requires to walk through a 6 bed dorm also with people possibly sleeping.

The manager made especially the female guests conformable, even kissing one of them on the cheek making her uncomfortable.

Full reviewRooms had no locks and the manager made all of the guests uncomfortable. Multiple people canceled stays to go elsewhere. The manager made especially the female guests conformable, even kissing one of them on the cheek making her uncomfortable. Location is good but not the best stay and not the social hostel advertised.

I stole your underwear.

Full reviewDuring our stay at this hostel, we experienced very unpleasant and unacceptable situations. The hostel owner/manager (I am not sure of his exact role) was almost always drunk. He would randomly move guests from one bed to another room as he wished, without asking anyone. On one occasion, when a female guest was not in the room, he touched and moved her belongings without permission. When she confronted him about it, his response was extremely disrespectful and inappropriate — he said, “I can do whatever I want with your things, I stole your underwear.” This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Although I stayed in the same room, my roommates were forced several times to change rooms without any valid reason. Also, when I asked for a blanket (since the air conditioning made the room very cold at night), he rudely refused, saying “It’s summer, why do you need a blanket?” These actions made us feel neither comfortable nor safe during our stay. However, I want to mention that the other staff members were very kind and helpful, and we appreciated their efforts. Unfortunately, the behavior of the owner/manager ruined the overall experience. I cannot recommend this hostel and hope that these issues will be taken seriously.

Full reviewWas very disappointed with how the young man in charge of the property treated women. At least 3 women directly told me that they felt imposed on by him. Also cleanliness was not good.

Vibe Analysis
Brothers Of The World is a small Ksamil hostel with a very central setup: beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, and the Sarande bus stop are all close by. The strongest version of this place is simple and personal: clean dorms, comfy beds, air conditioning in some rooms, balconies or terrace space, and a host who can be very hands-on with beach, food, and nightlife tips. The terrace and balcony life is the clearest standout. There are big views over Ksamil, rooftop sunrise or sunset potential, and outdoor space that gives the hostel more personality than a plain dorm stop. The social side can hit nicely when the garden, ping pong table, shared breakfast table, or barbecue nights are active. At quieter times it may feel more like apartment-style lodging than a busy backpacker hostel, so this is not a guaranteed party machine. Facilities are basic. Breakfast can be simple, there is no full kitchen for proper cooking, and the bathroom setup may feel cramped or rough. The bigger caveat is staff boundaries: this place has a split personality, with warm hospitality on one side and serious discomfort around the manager on the other, especially for solo women.
