Capsule-style bunks are the main reason Hostel Andaina stands out: curtains give real privacy, each bed usually has its own light and outlet, and there is lockable storage built into the bunk area. The beds can feel spacious and stable, with blackout-style privacy once the curtain is closed. The location is practical for arrival and departure, especially by train, with supermarkets, bars, an ATM, and Camino access nearby. It is not right in the old-town social core, and the Camino route or center may take around 10-15 minutes on foot depending on where you are heading. Staff may offer useful route guidance back to the Camino. There is a modest kitchen with cooking basics, a fridge, sink, and cooktop, plus common seating that can work for meeting other pilgrims. Laundry may be available, including a washing machine and dryer, though drying space can be awkward and there may be no outdoor area for wet clothes. Cleanliness and comfort are uneven: the bunks and rooms can feel tidy, but bathrooms, kitchen areas, smells, paper or disposable sheets, and noise control have all been real weak spots.
