Hostel Malti

I have to say it is one of the worse hostels I have ever stayed in. The location and the staff are pretty nice but that’s about it. I feel like it attracts quite different people and as a women I felt creeped out at times. I would not recommend it to solo female travellers as there is no female dorm. On top of that I was sleeping next to a damp or maybe even moldy wall and have some bites on my skin that could be a sign for bedbugs.

Empecemos: -Las instalaciones son lamentables. Yo no tenia ni almohada ni sábanas (menos mal que yo llevaba) y cuando pregunté por ellas me dijeron que estaban en el cajón cuando ya había mirado. Desistí. -La cama nefasta, tenía un par de muelles salidos en el centro del colchón que no solo hacían un ruido que molestaba a toda la habitación sino que yo tenía que arrimarme a un lado para que no me molestasen. -Problemas graves de salubridad con un agujero en la pared por el que además de ruido, entraba un frío helador (para una noche de enero). Además toda la habitación llena de moho por condensación. Muestra de falta de mantenimiento. Tiene pinta que con decoración intentan suprimir la falta de cuidado. -En todo el establecimiento se respiraba un clima cargado por falta de ventilación. Era bonito pero se sentía sucio. -Para cómo podrían ser los baños (de acuerdo al estándar del resto del sitio), estaban razonablemente bien. Alfombras siempre mojadas, grifos con duración demasiado corta, juntas del alicatado desprendida y sucia.... -He visto en otros comentarios sobre cucarachas y chinches. No ha sido mi casi (fui en enero).

L’hôtel est insalubre : cafards dans les douches et, pire encore, des punaises de lit. Impossible de dormir, j’ai dû quitter l’établissement dès le lendemain et perdre une nuit.

La primera noche me dio muchísima alergia la habitación se me empezó a hinchar el ojo la garganta, Por lo que me cambié a otra cama y en esa cama resuelta que habían chinches , Luego me volví a cambiar de habitación Y en esa habitación tenían el aire caliente durante la noche, Por no no hablar de las cucarachas que habían en el baño, resumiendo ubicación genial pero un histel muuy sucio.

I think I had issues with bed bugs. I had issues when making my reservation, long story short there was a confusion and I booked 2 beds, when I called them over the phone to try to solve the issue the staff was very dismissive and reluctant to solve the situation (as far as I understand, is not the same staff working at the hostel). So yeah, in the end, I paid twice for my stay.

The room is open all the time, no locks - anyone can enter the room any time, not only these who stay there. It is gloomy and dark. Cleaning staff don't knock on the door, just enter as they please. Drunk people walking at night - no receptionist or security guy at night who would have any control over the place. Sleeping people, probably drunk, on the couch near the reception in the morning. Vomit on the toilet door and in an unflushed toilet found in the morning! Found some characteristic bites on my feet that turns out to be from bed bugs (!!!) as my doctor said 😱😱 No lights by your bed, electricity went out 2x, day by day, for a couple of minutes while I was taking a shower. If you are looking for cheap place to stay but are not into drinking and want to sleep at night and feel safe and clean, reconsider your choice. Opinions from the comments are not taken seriously into consideration, unfortunately. Answering it's cheerful and colorful place etc. is not serious.
