   Just pay the extra few pounds to stay somewhere nicer please😭 the rooms and facilities are so beyond bad, we could hear rats in the ceiling, there were worms in our room, the hand soap ran out the day we got there and was never topped up (we stayed 5 nights). The general area had a foul smell, toilets and showers never seemed clean and as for safety, our code for our room was written on the door, meaning absolutely anyone could get in there even if you weren’t staying there. Staff were nice tho!

   Possibly the worst place we have stated travelling. The water was brown, cold and found a bed bug. There was no lock for the door anyone could have gone in and stolen out stuff. I felt very scared going to sleep incase anyone or anything would have come in the room. Please update your facilities.

   I am writing this review out of responsibility especially for young travelers and volunteers who may consider staying here. What we experienced at Yellow Sun Koh Rong was not simply “disorganization.” It was a pattern of behavior and conditions that made many of us feel uncomfortable, disrespected, and at times unsafe. There will were repeated inappropriate and sexist comments toward female volunteers, uncomfortable jokes, and physical boundary violations. Statements like “you can sit on my lap” & ” do you wanna have sex with us" were made casually. For young women volunteering abroad, this is not something that should ever be normalized. Communication was chaotic or nonexistent. Expectations were not explained, yet volunteers were blamed and shouted at for not knowing tasks. Mood swings and unpredictable reactions created a tense and unstable atmosphere. The hygiene and accommodation conditions were deeply concerning. The property was very dirty. The kitchen hygiene was unacceptable. They stole my towel and i found it in their Kitchen & didn‘t even got a Apologie. They also just use shoes from one of the other Volunteers and just left them somewhere. There were mice in the rooms (one was caught twice) and bedbugs. Mold on the Pillows under the Pillow sheets. The hostel appeared clearly overbooked. There were not enough sleeping spaces. One volunteer had to sleep outside. Two very young girls (18 and 21 years old) were placed in the host’s bed and the bedsheets had not been washed at all before they were required to sleep there. After they confronted him about this, he allegedly threatened them with the police, claiming he had connections, creating an environment that felt intimidating and unsafe.” This alone speaks for itself. Volunteers were abruptly removed because too many people had been accepted. They were not asked respectfully they were simply told to leave.

   Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in!!! Toilets and showers were disgusting! Ants and insects everywhere in the bathrooms!! And there were never any toilet paper. No lock on the doors to the rooms and the doors could not even close properly so a random cat and a random man came into my room! Staff also turned off the AC in the night so I woke up in 40 degrees, so so uncomfortable! Don’t stay here!!

   The hostel was in a perfect location, right on the beach and could walk there from the pier. The rooms were clean but basic which was fine. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Bathrooms are outside so if you’re a wimp around bugs like myself then I don’t recommend🤣 only problem was the doors on the dorms didn’t lock and lots of drunk people walking past through the night made it feel a bit unsafe

   Probably one of the best places I've stayed at in South East Asia. The location is right next to nestival, the pier and right on the beach, so it doesn't get much better than that. As for the people, the workers and volunteers were some of the nicest people ever. I had my phone and wallet stolen on the island, and Piseth worked his ass off with the police to try and get it back. Wasn't successful but needless to stay after staying here and Mad monkey, this one was much more of a community with a great env

   Rooms were overall very average. There’s no locks on the doors so anyone can get in at any time. I was bitten all night and my bed had ants in. Bathrooms were not very nice. There is flies everywhere around the hostel which is unpleasant and super annoying. Showers were cold also. I understand this is a very new hostel but it needs a lot of improvements in my opinion.
